What is Psychodynamic psychotherapy?

Having access to a therapeutic and confidential space where you can talk openly to a professional can often help make sense of difficulties, patterns of behaviour and relationships, past and present.

The foundation of psychodynamic therapy is the belief that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are influenced by early relationships and environmental factors. The focus of psychodynamic psychotherapy is on developing a connection with your therapist, where you feel safe enough to explore yourself and your relationships. This process allows you to explore past traumas, understand the root causes of difficulties, and recognise recurring patterns in your relationships and behaviours, both past and present. The goal is to empower clients by offering insight, understanding, and awareness of their past and present experiences, leading to positive change and bring about long-term healing.
